Camerashuttercount.com said 5296. The last photo I took shows IMGP5878, so not sure if it's that. Either way, it's under 6000.

It's been so long that I don't know if I am the original owner or not, but I probably am. This came after my K110D and long before my K-S2.

It works. It takes AA batteries instead of a lithium-rechargeable. I took a photo tonight and the camera stayed in MF for a minute and then went into AF.

IMGP is not the shutter count. You need to use the tool here and upload an unprocessed jpg to the tool, it will give you accurate shutter count.

You're welcome! I wanted to make sure your original count was correct. What firmware version is on this K-x?

Just checked. It's 1.01 but it looks like there is a 1.03 available.

And the 1.03 will fix the battery problem. I had one of these too but mine was black. I don't have it now because I gave mine to my daughter.

It's upgraded to v1.03 now. I wasn't aware of the battery problem. If I recall, I carried about three sets of rechargeable eneloop Ni-MH batteries, but did use the lithium batteries on trips since they lasted far longer...but so expensive!
