The manual focus SMC Pentax-M 28/3.5 is often preferred over its f/2.8 sibling – it exhibits better corner-to-corner sharpness and high contrast, and produces gorgeous image colour. Like other M-series prime lenses, this one is well built, compact, and lightweight. It’s a good alternative to the harder-to-find and more-expensive SMC ‘K’ version.

Th lens for sale is a very nice sample!

Glass. Clean and clear; no haze or fungus. Some light internal dust. The front element has several faint micro cleaning marks, which are not easy to see or photograph. I have not observed any effect on image quality.

Body and mechanical. The body shows minimal signs of wear. The filter ring has a tiny pin-point nick on the rim (seen in the attached image), but filters mount easily without any issue. The rubber focus ring is pristine. The mount is solid and the aperture blades are snappy and free of oil. All number markings are clean and crisp. The manual focus action is smooth across the entire range and the aperture ‘clicks’ are positive.

Included: Lens; original front and rear caps; Asahi Pentax UV filter (excellent condition).

A bump for this great little lens. Cheaper than the harder-to-find K 28/3.5 and it has very decent sharpness and produces rich colours. I'd keep it if I didn't have the SMC K version.

This one is in very nice condition!
