IMHO a perfect walk around lens that is plenty fast for almost all situations. I really hate to sell it as of course it's full frame (planning to get pentax's new cam) and it takes great pics but have been doing more sports shooting lately and found i really need to get a good quality longer reach lens.

Question. Why is this lens so expensive? Maybe it's the good optical properties and fast aperture; but it's not incredibly wide.

90% of the performance of the 31/1.8 Limited lens for about 30% of the price.

If this lens at this price hasn't sold it must have fallen out of favor due to the 35 Ltd. There was a time people queued to pay $300 for it but none in stock.

Well maybe because it is an objective question for information..., :-).
Please, do not feel too offended too soon. I do not have the impression it was meant to be that unpolite.

I know it is not a policy on this Forum to comment about prices in the thread itself, but rather do this in a pm if one likes to do so.
Maybe an idea to create a separate threadtopic where one can give comments on prices in threads.
On the dutch forum there is such like: the worst advertisement that you saw lately...
That brings lots of fun and comments.

Yes, comes with a hood if bought new.
