[SOLD] SMC Takumar 100mm f/4 Macro

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
SMC Takumar 100mm f/4 Macro

Asking Price
$150

Item Description
Asahi SMC Takumar 100mm f/4 macro. M42 screw mount. The lens is in excellent condition with only some paint worn off the aperature ring from use. Optics are clear and clean. Includes both caps. This lens has taken some excellent shots when mounted on my K100D using an M42 to K-mount adaptor. I hate to sell this lens, but macro photography is not really my thing. I'll use the money to get a wide angle prime.

Here are two shots taken with the lens.

Last chance. If no interest, the lens will be listed on ebay later this week.

May sound like stupid question, but I'm no lens expert. Is this a true 1:1 macro lens? I've been wanting a cheap macro for a while now.

It is a 1:2. This lens is considered by many to be better than the 50mm 1:2 Takumars though, and from my experience with my 50mm Takumar macro, that's saying something. Also consider that on a K10 (if you intend to use it digitally) even after substantial cropping you'll be able to turn out 8x12 or better prints that look just like a 1:1, K20, even better. Just a thought.

edit: same goes for your *ist
