This lens almost never leaves my camera. It's such a workhorse, indoors and out. No problems at all. No scratches, fungus or any other problems that I'm aware of. Wonderful lens. I don't shoot test charts or brick walls so I make no claims as to how good of a copy this lens is. I've had zero concerns about the sharpness on my K-30. I'm selling a bulk of my Pentax gear to fund a Sony FF purchase.

hello!

im interested in whether you had any autofocus issues using the ovf? ive seen a lot of complaints regarding that but also have seen that it seems to happen on a per copy basis

I haven't noticed it to be any worse than my other lenses. I have a K30 though. Not exactly known for it's speedy and decisive autofocus. Your mileage may vary. The camera did a poor job of keeping up with my child once she was able to walk but I don't think that was the lens' fault.

Hello sumx4182. Is the lens still for sale? I've been looking for one of these for a long time, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm going back and forth on the idea of buying a brand new one (hoping that Sigma sorted out the auto-focusing problems), and getting a great deal from someone like you who's had a good experience with a used copy. If it's still available, has the firmware been updated? Thanks.

The only firmware updates related to this lens are for Sigma,Nikon and Canon mounts only - are they are only minor compatibility fixes. Nothing for Pentax.

I acquired one 2 weeks ago and have had ZERO AF problems. Of course I use center point AF but with this lens and its amazing sharpness and micro contrast any issue would be readily apparent and I have had none.
