Item Description
The Zeiss 21/2.8 is a legendary lens considered by many to be one of the finest lenses ever made. This lens, in addition to Zeiss’ usual splendid micro contrast and color, is most unique for a wide angle in being sharp from edge to edge. Wide open at f2.8 it is very sharp in the center, and remarkably sharp everywhere else except at the extreme edges/corners. Stop it down to f4 and it’s sharp even to the extremes (check out my photos showing that below).

The Zeiss 21/2.8 also focuses close, just over eight inches, for effective bokeh shots. Chromatic aberrations are virtually nonexistent, it has superb contrast and dynamic range, and it’s one of the smoothest focusing of all the Zeiss lenses I’ve tried (BTW, the ZF.2 chip reliably relays focus confirmation to a Pentax camera).

This lens is close to mint, with the glass perfect (I can’t even see any dust inside), focus ring and all other mechanics working perfectly, and the body showing little or no signs of wear (that I can find) except for a tiny ding or two on the lens hood. Comes with original lens hood, original front and rear caps, box and paperwork.

$985 price includes insured Priority Mail shipping to continental US. Shipping outside continental US adds actual shipping plus insurance costs. Paypal please. Thanks for looking.

No, not at this point. Check out the Leitax website to see that this lens' Nikon mount was replaced with a fixed Pentax K mount, installed by a member here who regularly does that. You can lock this lens on your camera just like any other K mount lens and it will be fully secure. One difference however is that using the lens itself on your camera requires you to manually adjust the aperture. This Zeiss 21mm does communicate electronically with the camera to give you focus confirmation, and all other functions of your camera will work with the lens.
