[SOLD] Pentax K100D, Kenko 2x Macro Teleplus MC7, Pentax Pz-1, Pentax AF500 Flash

1. Pentax K100D body only ($270 + shipping) [SOLD]
  • in good working condition
  • cosmetic good except a slight but not-obvious scratch in front lens mount near K mount locking pin area, picture of slight scratch below
  • body with box, manual, cd, body cap, strap and all original documentation
  • actuation about 9999 in this last album done with DA 50-200 and FA 50 f/1.4 on 9/15/08 on Sunday
  • latest firmware in 1.3
  • a very nice body for high iso pictures. High iso JPG pictures is better in K100D than K10D, lower noise and very usable in iso 800
  • an ideal backup body on a budget, very light and compact body compared to K10D, used AA batteries, great for traveling
  • My reports:
  • [update: added free lens] A mint Quantaray 28-90 f/3.5-5.6 1:2.3 Macro is free with K100D purchase

2. Kenko 2x 1:1 Macro Teleplus MC7 ($70 + shipping) [Relisted]
3. Pentax Pz-1 + new battery + Pentax holster ($110 + shipping) [SOLD]
4. Pentax AF-500FTZ Flash + Lumiquest Soft Box ($115 + shipping) [SOLD]

  • TTL won't work with k10D/k20D/K100/K200 and all current PTTL bodies. The flash can work in auto mode as an external flash.
  • A softbox is provided with the flash
  • Original soft leather pocket provided
  • no hardcopy of user menu, online copy instead
  • Online Manual for AF-500FTZ (thanks to Andrew)

Pictures of Items for sale

1. Pentax K100D body only

Pentax K100D -- Hin's Tech Corner
Recent Test Pictures

Normal wear, well maintained in good condition

A slight scratch not-so-obvious on the silver mount
in locking pin area, cosmetic only, no effect on quality

2. Kenko 2x 1:1 Macro Teleplus MC7

Kenko 2x 1:1 Macro Teleplus MC7 -- Hin's Tech Corner
Hin's Test Pictures

wording with KAX 2x Macro Teleplus MC7
Teleplus is model number in Kenko, hence the assumption from Kenko

It has all the electrical contacts for 'A' metering

3. Pentax Pz-1 + new battery + Pentax holster

Pentax PZ-1 SLR -- Hin's Tech Corner
Hin's Test pictures

two command dials similar to K10D
flash hotshoe located on right side instead of middle

side by side with pentax k10d

very similar to pentax k10d, smaller and lighter

thinner and lighter than k10d
a good looking pentax for sure

4. Pentax AF-500FTZ Flash + Lumiquest Soft Box

Mark Roberts used to have snippet of note praising this as the best flash in Pentax TTL time and he noted it as a mistake in Pentax not continuing support of this flash with the new flash in PTTL support. But I can't find the information in his equipment page now

Thanks and I have removed the links to the album for now. I can't simply made the album public as that require making the top main album to be public. As long as you can view the inline pictures in this post, that should serve the purpose as I have too-many pictures already on this thread. Thanks!

For anyone wondering, that Kenko TC is the same as the Vivitar 2x macro TC. A very nice piece of equipment that is MUCH better than people might initially think.

I wish Pentax had continued with the idea of putting the hot shoe to one side of the camera instead of in the centre. It makes so much sense not to have the flash right over the lens.

Hin, a small point; I don't believe that *ist DL or DL2 are TTL-capable. Only *ist D, DS, DS2 digital bodies are. Maybe Samsung GX-1S (DS2 clone) is as well.

Added DA 50-200 + genuinue adapter, price adjusted

I added two items to the lot: Pentax DA 50-200 f/4.0-5.6, I don't want to let it go but I failed to sell my Pentax K 45-125 f/4.0 a week ago and added this AF zoom to the lot to help the sale of my K100D.

I reserved the Genuine Pentax M42 to K adapter to good friend of mind. I will pass along when my friends skip it.

5. Pentax DA 50-200 f/4.0-5.6

Pentax DA 50-200 f/4.0-5.6 -- Hin's Tech Corner

dust specs in front element
won't affect quality but cosmetic

6. Pentax Genuine M42 to K adapter (either one of your choice)

Pentax Genuine M42 to K adapter -- Hin's Tech Corner

right one has black marking to guard against reflections
I used left one a lot and it has been tested good

The Pentax K100D body is reduced in price from $285 to $275. And the Kenko 2x 1:1 Macro Teleplus MC7 is a reasonable bargain to turn a 50mm to a macro and a 100mm prime. Thanks!

Thank you Danny. I am waiting for Onree to reply before I can sell it to you with no conflicts of order. I do have a wide angle manual prime in Spiratone 20mm f/2.8 in K mount but I am not ready to part with it yet. It is my poor man's choice for DA 21mm limited. I paid $75 with shipping for it and it has a dent on rim but filter mounts with no problem. I will PM you about the wide angle

58mm UV filter not show

manual focus, quite good prime in 20mm

A dent but filter still fits and mount and dismount with no problem

Some recent test pictures on this prime, all hand-held shots wide open in f/2.8 with K10D in iso 400 in JPG with Bright Image tone

Update: I added a Spiratone 20mm f/2.8 in K mount with potential interest from Danny. I reserved for Danny to review before I release it to others or withdraw it for myself. The Genuine Pentax M42 adapter is sold. And new item for Pentax DA 50-200 f/4.0-5.6 is posted for potential buyer of K100D as a kit, I will withdraw if K100D buyer don't need it.

Pentax K100D body and Kenko 2x 1:1 Macro Teleplus MC7 are still available and they bear signatures of status for [sold], [available] and others in first post

Thanks,
Hin
