Item Description
Kiron 105mm f/2.8 macro 1:1 (aka Lester Dine and others)

Purchased from a forum member a few years ago, I'm turning it around to it's next user in pretty much the same condition I got it. It was (is) a great, inexpensive lens to try out 1:1 macro.

This is a solidly-built, manual-focus lens. The focus throw is pretty long and it has a nice big grip, so it's great for fine adjustment and focus stacking. Includes a built-in hood, front and end caps (look to be original). Has an aperture ring, so it can be used with extension tubes, etc.

Sample photo (stacked from several exposures):

Condition:

Some internal dust, no fungus that I can see. The glass elements have no scratches or other blemishes. Some of the lettering is starting to wear off in places, and there are scratches on the metal barrel in various places. I tried to include several pictures with this post to give a sense of its cosmetic condition.

I rated the condition as Damaged for the following two issues:
-- At least on my K-50, the "A" position on the aperture ring doesn't work, which means you have to use this as an "M" type lens, using the green button for stop-down metering. This was a little inconvenient, but totally workable. Otherwise, the aperture ring is nice and snappy, and the blades are clean. All of the other stops on the ring work fine, which means the entire aperture range is available to use, just not in auto.

-- About 1/2 way through the focus range, there is a little bit of roughness in the focus ring. More like a bump. It may be normal for this lens, I don't know. It doesn't affect the operation of the lens at all, but it's noticeable, so I'm mentioning it. Other than that, the focus ring is smooth from end-to-end and is nicely damped.

I have the Vivitar Series 1 version of this lens by Kiron, and it's one of my very favorite lenses. Incredibly sharp, flat field and great colors. Best of luck selling it.

Apologies my friend, I was at work all day, and generally don't have the opportunity to attend to personal matters until I get home. I replied to your PM.
