The thing I find most amusing and interesting about your sales posts is the way that pre-internal-meter M42-mount cameras have retained their value better than the final generations of autofocus K-mount film cameras.

In the markets there seems to be a range where an item loses value and is totally undesirable, then years or even decades later the value increases. However when it comes the the AF film bodies I doubt they'll ever be worth much, they're just not classic enough.

Yep. I was in Kerrisdale Cameras in Vancouver a few years back and they had a bunch of Pentax AF bodies under glass. I remember how as a late teenager I'd coveted them as new-release cameras, with price tags far beyond my reach. As a discerning Pentaxian, with years of digital and film photography under my belt, I looked at them and saw a bunch of faces that only a mother could love. I could have had them all for a dollar figure identical to the new price of one (not adjusting for inflation), but I passed on the lot. How times change (sigh).
