[SOLD] Sigma 75-210mm f/3.8 PK-A (Worldwide)

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Sigma 75-210mm f/3.8 PK-A (Worldwide)

Asking Price
$65

Item Description
This zoom is manufactured by Sigma but branded as Promaster. It offers a constant f/3.8 aperture throughout its focal range and having the 'A' setting for the aperture it allows you to shoot in all modes (so you can use Av!).

I would have qualified the lens as "like new" except it has a very tiny scratch at the top of the zoom/focus ring and there are marks on the bottom of the mount ring (from mounting/unmounting the lens). Other than that, it looks like new. There is minimal dust inside, no scratches on the multicoated optics and the diaphragm is clean and snappy. It takes 55mm filters. Includes both caps.

I believe this is the last series of Sigma lenses that were made of metal, making this lens feel solid, yet it is still quite light. The photo shows it near its maximum length. It extends when zooming out to 210mm and the front rotates when focusing.

I'll include some shots taken with this lens in another post.

If interested, leave a reply to the thread (as that's how I'll establish order of precedence) and then follow up with a PM.

I've sold many items on this forum and have many happy buyers that can vouch for my seriousness. Please check my feedback here.

Mis, these are some great shots. And you're right, that is one fantastic picture of a tree-rat.

I framed the shot in diagonal, but the tree trunk was vertical. Those squirrels are immune to gravity, I tell you!

Mis, the test and product shots are way pretty. I don't know how you take your product shots, every product shots that you have taken really get into my nerve. And your zoom lens has 'A' on it. Very sharp zoom if you ask me.

And the test shot with the squirrel should be submitted to PPG. With that kind of test shot, you may consider keeping it yourself or up the sale price. People don't pay attention to anything below $100 and they subconsciously ignore any lens close to $50.

I need to sell a bunch of lenses on my shelf that don't get used. I wish I could keep them all, but I can't.

This lens is pretty good, and the 'A' setting helps a lot. You have an interesting price theory there, Hin, although I have my Pentax K 45-125mm f/4 on sale for $135 shipped and nobody wants it either.

I'll end up putting these lenses on eBay next week and they'll sell for more than I'm asking here (they usually do) but I much prefer selling to forum members. I appreciate the personal communication here rather than the cold business manner on eBay.

Oh well...

I must say this lens has really caught my attention. I was really impressed by that shot of the fly on the flower. Is the first one cropped at all?? At $65 shipped I must say I'm really tempted. Can anyone tell me how it compares to Hin's Viv S1 70-210? (Heck, why not get both and find out myself )
