Item Description
For sale a Tokina af400 lens. Rather rare. f5.6
Lens is in good shape, some dust as would be expected. Smooth focus and aperture.
There appears to be something on the outer edge of the front element. Fungus ?? Object is 1/4 inch long by 1/16 wide. In the 10 years I've owned it , it hasn't grown. Several reviews on this site.

In the last picture of the lens is the brown thing on the right what you mentioned?

No that's just light bouncing around. It's actually difficult to find or photograph. Took me several attempts to find it and I own the lens
Probably should rig it up and do a macro of the area.

As mentioned here's a pic of the Fungus, located on the edge of the front element
And no that's not separation, just a reflection of the led light.

This looks like a rather unique and interesting lens! If I didn't have a Sigma 135-400 in the mail, I'd bite possibly. Good luck with the sale and kudos for honestly and transparency!

I got one of these last year for my new k1-II. It's not the sharpest lens I own, but it is plenty sharp stopped down and a very affordable zoom.

? The thread is for the sale of a prime 400mm not a zoom, are you responding to the previous post mentioning the 135-400?

Been using this for the last 2 months & I like it. Weighs about 2.2 lbs & sure beats carrying the 50-500.
