[SOLD] Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro

Asking Price
$275

Item Description
I've upgraded long ago to the 35 Macro limited and plan on grabbing the Pentax 100 Macro as well as the Sigma 180 in the fall so this lens sits without a good home.

It's a super sharp lens and has done nothing but given me stellar shots.

90% of all my macro work has been done with this lens, but it's time to upgrade to bigger and better glass to match how I shoot.

This lens is amazing for the person wanting to get into macro photography and it's a stellar piece.

I left the lens at the studio so I won't be able to photograph it but here are some shots from the lens.

Great stuff, Chris! That last spider is fantastic. Do you think you could have taken that same pic with the 35 Ltd?

I have both these lens . . . the dragonfly would probably have spooked and the spider would have been up close and personal . . . I hate cleaning spider webs off lenses.

If I didn't have the newest version of this 105mm, I'd be all over this lens at this price.

Can someone shed a little light here? Which version is this exactly? I see that at one time there was apparently an EX only version and that now perhaps there is an EX DG. A little clarity would be helpful here. Thanks in advance.

Sorry Chris, what I really meant is what version is yours... I am interested in this lens and just wondering which version you have.

Mine is the second one, the EX DG version. My hood is a little different from the image provided though. Looks more like the hood from the older lens, but the body of the second one lol. But it is the EX DG version. Comes with the nice case, lens caps (front/back) hood and anything else I can find that went to it.

I have to say I prefer the design of the rubber rings on the old version. It looks much better.

Chris's macro through this lens is legendary. Sometimes I wonder I should have used that lens for pentax set up.

You are selling quite a few gear too
