I'm selling my Pentax SMC 300mm f/4 lens (the "K"), and also selling my Pentax SMC-F 1.7x AF converter. I'll sell separately or together, to help fund my purchase of a DA*300.

About the SMC 300mm f/4
Purchased from KEH and listed there as "EX". I'd say it's still EX or at least Good. No scratches or damage to the lens elements or aperture, and the focus is smooth. Everything works just as it should. It has an attached sliding hood, and comes with both the front and rear caps (Pentax-labeled, I guess they're original, or at least the correct replacements). I'll also include an Op/Tech neoprene sleeve to hold/protect the lens. This is a very nice lens, and a great way to get long, fast-ish glass for your camera at a decent price. I'll take $250 for the lens, and you pay the shipping.

About the SMC-F 1.7x AF converter
This works well with the lens mentioned above, which is why I'm listing them together. I purchased this used a year or so ago, but I just don't use it as much as I should. It's in good shape, and works fine. It comes in a third party case with front and rear caps. I'll take $300 for the adapter, and you pay the shipping.

If you buy both together, I'll take $500 for the pair, and you'll like save on the shipping as well.

Note - since I'm looking for a DA*300, I'll consider trading this (and some TBD cash) for your DA*300.

I'll post photos of the goodies later if people really need to see them. I have 100% positive feedback on ebay (45 transactions) and have been a longtime member here and at DPreview.

Most people want $400 for the converter alone and here you can get the lens for another $100.

Thanks, and of course I agree with you. For some reason I haven't been flooded with offers, though. As much as I hate ebay, I may just list these there. I just don't know if the extra I'd make would make up for the ebay hassles.

I now have 2 copies of Pentax F-1.7x AF TC. I paid $370 for the other one from Tom Lusk. Both are in delivery stage and I will test it and see if the legend holds the truth in turning a manual prime into AF lens, perhaps with some limitations. It is yet to be seen in reality and I will document as usual my findings in Hin's Tech Corner. I have at least 2 manual prime lens to test -- the Pentax 300mm f/4.0 from Russ and my own copy of Vivitar 200mm f/3.5 from Komine in K mount. And of course, I have absolutely no idea how the legendary F-1.7x AF will work the magic on two of my Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm f/3.5 zooms with Tokina (v2) and the more popular f/2.8-4.0 Komine version (v3) which is arriving at my home this week.
