the price is right but

the exchange rates make Aussies buying from US too hard.

I can't believe nobody from USA has bought this. I would snap it up if our sickly $ could get back up in the high 80s.

aargh

The Da70 is on my "next buy" list, but I can't afford it right now as I have just purchased the AF540 flash and the Da 40. Bad luck!

Kind regards

Sorry Mike, but I recently purchased the 77 Ltd. It is a good price, but things in the marketplace have been moving very slowly these past few weeks. I suspect they will pick up on Nov. 5th if the Dems win, or crumble to the ground if it's a Republican win.

My advice: put it on eBay with a BIN price so that people can take advantage of the Live.com cashback scheme.

Shipping to the UK

Hi Murphy2004,

Sorry for the delay. Shipping via Canada Post to the UK would be $58 US using Xpresspost International (6 business days) and $33 US using International Parcel Surface (4-6 weeks).

Thanks for your interest.

Don't take it too personally, this lens has a history of underperforming in resale for some reason. There are at least 4 more threads such as this where the D70 owner is left scratching his head as to why no one bites.

Miserere:
I take it that BIN means "Buy-it-now". Seems like a good recommendation to me. Will US citizens be able to take advantage of the Live.com rebate, if the item is listed on ebay.ca as opposed to ebay.com?
Thanks, Mike

Hi all,

Time is of the essence for me now and not many bites on this forum. I've decided to list my item on ebay.ca linked as follows:

Pentax smc DA 70mm f/2.4 Lens - (eBay.ca item 280280364295 end time 02-Nov-08 20:08:40 EST)

Thanks for the kind words by all.

Regards,
Mike

It's also a bit of timing. I really want a 70mm. If my investment portfolio didn't recently drop to over 1/2 of what it had been, if winter wasn't coming where I'm expecting $1200/mo oil bills, if I wasn't worried for the health of the company I work for in this economic down-turn, if I didn't have 3 mortgages, if I didn't just buy a car I didn't really need, I'd have jumped on it. Sorry, this is very OT from the marketplace TOU. Just needed to get that off my chest. But yes, if other things are selling and these aren't, it's head scratch worthy
