Item Description

I decided to move away from primes seeing that I am remarkably terrible at zooming with my feet! This lens is in near mint condition and has never been mishandled or dropped. It works perfectly. It comes complete with lens hood, pouch and both lens caps all in the original box with owners manual and warranty card.

I'm mystified or perhaps I'm stupid?!?!

I've had 142 views of my DA70 for sale post. Yet, no one's interested! Am I missing something. Granted, I'm new to this forum, but I heard this was the logical place to sell your gear. I just sold my DA40 on ebay <newfie_forever> and I have good feedback rating. I've been lurking on the dpreview pentax forum for a couple of years as Michael_NL.

I'm perplexed! Can anyone shed some light for me!

Thanks.

Mike

I'm one of the lurkers and I can't answer the question as for others. Seems like a great price but for me its a question of " do I really need it? " I have the 85 1.8 and Tammy 28-75. But I don't own a Limited. LBA has gave me many reasons why I should but ......

Good luck with the sale

This is a good lens and you certainly have an attractive price. I sold my Jupiter 9 85mm f/2.0 in order to tempt myself to get this lens. But I refrain from it as the economy is striking back at my LBA. I am trying hard to resist it. I buy too many and too fast.

Someone please buy this gear from our new comer who has an outstanding price for the lens. And Mike, it will help you if you post pictures made with the lens.

Thanks for the information

Thanks to all who have answered my questions. I guess a forum can be a lonely place if you post without replies. Again thanks

To reply to the 2nd post, don't be insulted Mike. Me personally but perhaps not the only one, I like to see a member be part of the community before using the forum's marketplace as I'll feel safer sending them money if I can read their posts going back some time. Some forums I frequent have stringent rules regarding post count before its marketplace can even be posted in. So that may have factored in if others feel as I do.

Best of luck on your sale. I'm tempted but I have other priorities @ the moment.

Seeing as you are a fellow Cdn, I first assumed that it would be in Cdn $'s which made it very tempting. Then I realized it was USD, which got my LBA in check. Still...

Hi Beaumont,
I was trying to make it easier for our neighbours (not neighbors) to the south. The lens was purchased last October, I guess I wouldn't be doing myself any favour if I gave it away!

Thanks for looking though.

It's okay M8o - he's from 'The Rock'! I 'spose there are dishonest, heartless crooks there too - but I've yet to meet one!

I too looked or lurked or whatever you call it and am sort of tempted but I just bought a new Voightlander lens and a Katx Eye screen so my LBA fund needs to recover a bit before another purchase.

Good luck Mike.

I fully understand.
I had decided that the next lens on my list would be the 77ltd, chosen over the 70ltd primarily for the 1.8. (However, maybe I should be suggesting to my Father-in-law in GrandFalls to drive to DeerLake to get his "son-in-law Christmas shopping" done a little early this year...)

To Beaumont,
This is a fine lens and a perfect Christmas present for son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws alike. Heck, for you, I'll have the lens gift wrapped free of charge and waiting for your Father-in-law from central. Any chance he's a Deer Lake Red Wing fan?

As he ages he's losing some interest in hockey, largely a result of his eyesite and his "Cataracts"...

I can't really understand his age having anything to do with his loss of interest in hockey, but yes those "Cataracts" could turn the most zealous of fans away from the rink!
