This is a great lens, and I'm hesitant to sell it even though I don't use it as often as it deserves. Before you ask, that's why the price is high... It may be worth that, and I may come down as time goes by (so low-ball away, but don't expect anything), but I'll be sorry to see it go.

This lens is in great shape. I've posted photos full size, so you can see for yourself all the details, and I can post a different angle if anyone needs, but I think this is a pretty good overview. To see the shots bigger, mouse over the displayed photo on the right, and choose the size to view from the popup options. There are also some samples shot with the lens in that gallery - full size so you can pixel peep (shot with a K200D, raw, and PPed to various extents, but not super sharpened or anything...).

The Details:

• The front element has one very small mark on it - visible here... It's about a centimeter in from the serial number. Everything else you can see in the pictures of the front element is dust.
• The rear element is flawless as far as I can tell.
• The focus ring is incredibly smooth and damp - sweet.
• The aperture ring is easy to move and clicks nicely into half-stops from f/3.5 to f/11 and the full stop to f/16 (it's designed that way.)
• The aperture blades are clean, dry, and snappy.
• There is a bit of dust inside, but it is minimal, and to be expected on a lens half this old. I don't think it will affect IQ in any way.
• No sign of fungus or other weirdness.
• Comes with Original Caps (I think - I'm not the original owner...). The front cap has some small chips or dings - abraded areas - visible in the photos. The rear plastic cap is scuffed a bit.

I can include an authentic Pentax "mount adapter b" M42 to K mount adapter (in the green bag) for an additional $30. No it's not a bargain - it's the a dollar less than the price you could get a new one from the Pentax web store, but here you don't pay shipping for it...
