Item Description The Original PENTAX - The Asahi Pentax or AP Serial #134818 dates this camera to 1957 early in production.
*Fully functional and film tested by me in April & May of this year. Camera had been serviced just before I purchased it. Back seals in good condition. Shutter speeds are correct (or very close),Shutter Curtains appear to be in very good condition. Finder has some dirt spots on top of focus screen. No desilvering. Image is bright. Mirror is clean but shows fine cleaning scratches. Very smooth winding, shutter release and controls. A fine camera to use.
** Cosmetically the chrome, paint and leatherette are in very fine condition. There is a significant dent on the peak of the pentaprism (see photo, circled in red), brassing on one corner of the bottom plate along with a few light surface scratches, a ding on the edge of the top by the wind crank and a slight dent in the cover of the rear latch which does not hinder its use in any way- SEE PHOTOS REDUCED $185 plus $20 for Insured Priority Mail Shipping In United States
