PRICE DROP! SMC Pentax-FA 100mm F2.8 Macro in very nice condition.

Asking Price
175.00 USD

Item Location
Candiac (Canada)

Item Description
The lens is fully functional and the glass is in very good shape - except that I don't really know what the clamp knob is supposed to do. There are some dust particles inside. The outside of the lens has some scuff marks and a scratch with paint loss (circled in red in one of the photos). This lens works perfectly on my K1 since it's a full frame lens. PM me if you need more info.

If I recall the clamp is used in manual focus mode to add resistance to the focusing and make it easier to get precise movements of the focusing system when you are manually focusing (which most will do in macro scenario).

Optically these are excellent lenses - the DAL 100 is smaller but this version does not require a hood due to the way the front element is recessed. The focus limiter is invaluable if you plan to use this for general purpose use - since you can keep it from going all the way to 1:1 during focusing which speeds up things for general purpose.

So if you think you might want this lens - BUY IT! Get that wallet out and enjoy a fantastic lens!
