SMC Pentax-FA* 80-200mm F2.8 ED [IF]

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
SMC Pentax-FA* 80-200mm F2.8 ED [IF]

Asking Price
750.00 USD

Item Location
Hockessin Delaware (United States)

Item Description
The lens was purchased from a Japanese seller, marked as "mint".

Please refer to the pictures for the cosmetics. I cannot observe any paint loss on the main body. The lens hood has some scratches and the biggest one is right next to the mark of "made in Japan", as shown in the picture.

The optics seems exellent. I could see some dusts in the lens when looking towards a light. But that applies to almost all old lens made in that era.

Powerzoom works.

Come with the oringinal lens pouch.

The copy I had a few years ago was as sharp at 200 as my DA* 200 and outperformed it in CA / fringing. These are also a joy on a film camera like a PZ-1.

Very clean copy. I love mine so much I have not considered the DFA 70-200.

I would agree this lens can hold its position versus any other lens in its league. I am now more into antique german lenses. Needs fund for that, before my wife yells.

Don't have a DA*200. My focal range are mostly within 135mm. I used to own a Tarmon 70-200 f2.8 at the same time with this lens. The Pentax is much better in terms of color, and bokeh. Sharpness is about to be eaqual.

Thank you both for the comments and free bump
