Wow, lightning has struck a few times here in the last month or so - the FA*85 is usually quite rare, even around these parts. As usual, your lens would be sold if I could afford it - a beauty and a fair price considering the market.

I am certainly "interested in the item" but I don't think that is a good excuse for sending you a PM

There's a difference between being interested and ponying up the "readies".

Sad, but true. Oh well, consider this another gratuitous BUMP

Not really bad if you're buying...but not good if you're selling.

Have some stuff I can either hold onto, donate, or ebay perhaps for less (very rare) than I want it to sell for!

On flip side, those who don't need to clear out stuff for other purchases should be loving this!

FA 85 1.4 is a rare bird, and should be gone even at an insane price for a used lens.

My advice is don't waiver on the price. Someone will have the money for it, now, or in a year. Eitherway they don't make lenses like this anymore, and they won't, making it even more valuable!

The thing is w/ the 85/1.4 and 80-200/2.8 is that, at these prices, you can find a used 85/1.4 or 80-200/2.8 on another system, e.g., Nikon for the price and a cheap used body. I saw an 80-200/2.8 in Nikon mount on craigslist for $400...a Pentax used one is $1600 IIRC; I could buy a used D200 for $700 and the 80-200/2.8 and have money left over for a flash :-P
The US dollar is hurting Daniel as well...I'm sure there would be a lot more buyers around $900.

Maybe people are waiting for the DA* 55mm next month $799 USD, which is Pentax's DA* replacement for the FA* 85mm
