I'm selling most of my collection of manual lenses since I rarely use them.

I purchased this SMC K50/1.2 (correction - Misere tells me this is the later 1977-1984 version) on this Forum from a respected member just because I have always wanted to own one. Lens lust being what it is, I don't use it enough to justify the value in my bag.

Eric recently inspected the lens and adjusted the helicoid and cleaned the internal elements. Aperture is snappy; blades are free of oil; focus is tight and smooth throughout the range; glass is clean and clear. There are few if any marks on the barrel or raised surfaces and the paint markings are fresh.

Period correct caps are included, as well as a UV filter.

This is a really nice veteran lens.

Thanks - corrected the text - the price is equivalent to what I paid - but it doesn't seem to matter - for either of us. I hope I'm not blocking your lens with this low price.

Am I doing something wrong here? 473 views and not a single PM. Thankfully Blue and Hinman added a comment to give a bump, but should I be asking MORE for this lens? It is truly a beautiful lens, but I should not have all this gear - hoping someone here can use it.

I think some of the lack of buying power may be the time of year if i didnt have gifts to buy for others I would be intrested and if the economy was more stable and people were not worried about lossing their jobs it may have sold faster

I agree... the lens is very tempting but there's so many other things demanding of my bucks right now. I have to pick up a 16-50mm F2.8 in the next couple weeks, too. It also doesn't help that Pentax has had my K20D for, oh, probably two months now... (Similarly, Nikon has had my Coolscan for a month. Does it really take that long to get parts, guys?)

If the eBay 25% off thing was still going on, I might have seen if you were willing to sell that way but that's off the table now. I also haven't been able to sell my Vivitar S1 70-210mm V3 (w/o A setting) on eBay for even $80! Good time to buy, lousy time to sell a lens. I have a pile I'm planning on selling but it's almost not worth even listing them. (A couple M 50s, A 28, Viv 28, etc.)

Hi Groucho and gokenin: I have heard by PM from others that December is a poor month for selling lenses for just the reasons you post - other needs for cash, etc. Yeah, I understand the economy is really bad, but I didn't think it was so bad that nothing would happen at THIS price!!

I finally ordered my 16-50 last night so I really shouldn't be considering anything else... on the other hand, I'll feel your same pain when I try to sell my Tamron 28-75mm considering how many have been listed for extremely cheap lately!
