Both focus and macro rings function smoothly and securely. It is necessary to snap the Macro ring into the 80mm mode to use the macro function. For me, the lens has been really awesome with its sharpness, brightness and bokeh at all settings. Shooters have to keep in mind that this is a fully "Manually Operated Lens." It is about as Automatically functional as a railroad trolley, although with not so many ups and downs.  )Included with purchase: Lens described, one Promaster UV filter with both OEM Front and Rear caps and a very nice protective case. It is readily apparent by the numbers on the lens that there has been very minimal use, and absolutely no abuse. I have done an extensive search regarding pricing and found that the majority of sellers are asking upwards of twice or even three to four times my asking price in addition to a boatload of shipping charges. Greetings. This is an image of a painting my wife did many years ago. I thought it was a very good subject to offer for an example. The only adjustments I did in PPE were resizing and a bit of Contrast to reduce the 18% reflectance coming back from the Yongnuo Speedlight. Looks pretty sharp and colorful to me. Taken with: Pentax K-7 body and Pentax-M 40~80mm Zoom Macro lens, 1/60s, F/5.6, ISO 200, Spot Metering and Focal Length @ 75mm. Used Yongnuo Speedlight. Thanks for viewing.
