Purchased this lens from a fellow forum member early last year. Zero regrets!
Excellent lens, exceptionally good condition considering its age. No overtly obvious mars or scratches, just a few very light rub marks/surface mars and one roughly 3mm blush mark on the hood that requires just the right light reflection to see.
The lens works properly including apertures and autofocus. No mount issues and no apparent issues with any other lens function.
There are a very few almost invisible dust particles in the lens body along with one single tiny darker spec that has no impact on photos. This lens has been wonderful. Selling only because I purchased the new more expensive DFA85 earlier this year. With another 85 also on hand, the manual Bower 85, this one becomes redundant.
In reality, there's not a lot of difference in the images between the old FA85 and the DFA85. If I had to do it over I might have continued to be satisfied with this one as its been so reliable and impressive in its performance, but I did and for the portrait shooting I've been doing the past year there has been some advantages to the new one in some outdoor conditions even if not considerable. The FA85 goes to market.
