Jobu Design Jobu Jr side mount gimbal head. (..Note, this listing is for the gimbal head only itself. The quick release seen mounted on the base is not included...nor is the camera/lens or tripod for that matter...though I do have the lens up for sale if you are interested...)

This is a good gimbal, everything works as it should. Served me well when I used to use it...just not using it any more.

Look closely at the photos, they serve as part of the description.

Standard arca swiss plates. I use RRS (..really right stuff..) , Kirk as well as generic plates, never an issue.

thank for reply. Your price is certainly fair. I am vacillating for reasons other than price. I already have a horizonal mount and wonder if the vertical "side" mount is more useful.

No worries David. This is the only gamble I have ever used (..and can't remember ever using it with anything longer then the Sigma 135-400 you see mounted in the photos...) so can't offer any personal experience, advise or comparison. That said...and out of curiosity myself, did a quick search and found a couple items that might answer some questions for you, links below. (..you may want to check here on the Forum as well...am sure it must have been talked about at some point, I just didn't have any luck tracking any down..)
