| MONOCHROME Pentax K-5 (modified sensor) PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale MONOCHROME Pentax K-5 (modified sensor) Asking Price 650.00 EUR Item Location Vilnius (Lithuania) Item Description This is modified camera with MONOCHROME sensor (16 mpix) - Bayer Color Filter Array and microlense layer is removed to get better resolution (equivalent of Pixel Shift, resolution in practice is at least twice of declared), original filters are replaced with high quality UV/IR cut filter with transmission of 390-700 nm at T50%. Camera takes very detailed monochrome pictures only. Could be used for astrophotography as well due to increased light sensitivity of about 2/3 stop and less noise (no chroma noise).
