Is your lens has a standard M42 mount?
It looks very different to the lens my friend has.
I can not see Auto / Manual switch on your photos?
What are those 3 brass contacts / pins for , the purpose ?
kind regards
jack

It is an M42 mount. It has an A/M switch. The 3 brass pins let the lens communicate some info to the camera. That's why it's termed "electric".

I had a large number of German film cameras with M42 mount but I never heard /seen one with electrical contacts.
The brand / model , any idea?

Yes , yes I know , just US , just curiosity.

the "electric" in the name and the contacts on the M42 mount refer to some Praktica camera bodies that will allow a form of automatic metering...

I have a copy of this lens, with the contacts, and love it.....

pepperberry farm,
Thanks for your comment. It probably clarifies some things about usage. I adapted it to my Fuji XH-1 and, of course, it was like using a manual lens without any info being conveyed to the camera. I'm attaching some images I took with the lens.
