Item for Sale
Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 wide angle lens with P/k mount.

Item Description
For sale is a very nice auto Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 wide angle lens with P/k mount. Made in Japan.

I read somewhere on the web that it's made by Komine but I am not sure.

Lens is in great condition. I notice almost no signs of wear. Glass looks clear with no haze, fungus or scratches. Focus works very smoothly. Aperture settings work great and the diaphragm blades have no oil deposits. Sorry, no caps.

Price: $20.

Shipping – $8.50

Actually it is made by Tokina. It also has an interchangeable mount. It kind of looks like a TX to me, but there is a slightly older system called T4 that looks and works in a similar way. I'm not expert enough to tell them apart. The mount can be used on a range of other Vivitar lenses made for this system. I have the f2.5 TX version of this lens but I've never used it for anything.

If you will remove the adapter, there will be white letters reading TX on the inside of the lens, if it is a TX lens. There will be no letters if it is a T4 mount lens. A T4 adapter will work with TX lenses but a TX adapter will not work with a T4 lens. T4 lenses were made by Tokina for Soligor as well as Vivitar but TX lenses were only made for Vivitar. All of the were made by Tokina except for the 300mm f/5.6 lens which was made by Olympus. I have one of these 300mm examples.
