I have the non-cinema Rokinon version with a fixed hood. I have to say these are really fun lenses.

Usually itís two things. 1) the aperture is expressed as T stops not f stops. T stops are standardized to an exposure measurement across lenses which makes it easier to match light levels when swapping lenses. 2) the aperture is typically declicked.

So this lens is T 3.8, the non cinema version is f 3.5. The exposure is going to be identical but expressing it in T stops is more helpful when matching exposures. Two f3.5 lenses of different designs might have quite different T numbers.

Another difference is the gears on the focus/aperture. This allows an operator to "pull" focus and aperture with a tool to exact positions allowing you to consistently do scenes over and over again.

Good point. The cinema lenses arenít optically different but they are typically more expensive since they have additional features.

Itís a fun lens and someone will enjoy it.

Thanks for the great input and knowledge from both uncle Vanya and ZombieArmy. Now I know!
So...anyone interested in buying it? For the life of me I don't know why I bought it and I really need to get it out of here. I have had it posted on E--- for 3 weeks now and no bites! Longer here and nothing either.
