This is possibly the cleanest black MX that I have run across in over 12 years of buying and selling Pentax camera gear.
The black finish has hardly a mark in it. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer looking black MX. It still has the plastic protective strip on the bottom of the camera.
I have tested all the major functions of the camera and everything works properly.
The light meter works perfectly and is accurate as far as I can tell. The shutter speed wheel in the viewfinder matches up with the main shutter speed wheel perfectly.
The DOF preview works perfectly as does the self timer.
The viewfinder is clean and clear as is the main mirror.
The camera winds on very smoothly.
The mirror bumper foam isn't sticky but it could probably be replaced.
The door seals are failing and should be replaced.
The lens is clean and clear. The focus ring runs smoothly throughout the range. The aperture works perfectly and it is snappy opening and closing. The aperture ring turns and clicks nicely into place at each f stop.
The aperture blades are clean and clear of any oil or defects.
Camera comes with the bottom half of the original case, original Pentax lens cap, and the original (somewhat rare) Pentax branded rubber lens hood.
