Hi, no I haven't used it on an A series Tele, but it should be fine, although it wouldn't magically turn it into an auto focus lens. This Tamron TC is known for its solid optics and for being able to be used with everything from screw drive and power zoom, to SDM lenses because it has all the contacts.
