So it's a nice looking, perfectly working Pentax *ist DS SLR, with kit lens. Body is in excellent shape, with very very minor signs of wear. LCD is fine, flash is working OK (i think i've used the flash less than 100 times since i've got the camera), and there is no ugly scratches anywhere. Always been taken care of. 14 thousand-something actuations (don't remember exactly how many, but close to that)

The only thing is that the lens hood's "filter window" came loose and i lost it twice (and found it back) so after getting mad at this, and risking of loosing it a third time, i've secured it with Crazy Glue. It does not interfer the use of the hood, the lens, or the camera in any way, and evereything fits perfectly, just that the filter window is now permanently in place, thus, it will never ever fall again.

I was thinking of getting my wife an older Pentax dSLR that would still allow her to use my newer lenses.
I assume this uses same lenses all-around as my K20D, right?

Anyone have a link or 2 that (briefly) compares the *ist D/DS/DL/DS2/DL2 to each other? Like spec-wise?

The DS would have essentially the same functionality with lenses as your K20D, except for the newer SDM lenses I guess. With the same backwards compatibility as well.
