what filter would be a good one to put on FA* the 28-70mm f/2.8? I heard that you can't use a polarising filter on it...

i've never heard of a lens that can't use a PF. can you post a link??

oops - meant circular polarising filter... sorry... I read it in the lens review section about the lens and was wondering what difference a PL on that lens and the 10D would have compared to the PL CIR and why it can't be used.

i think you are refering to a linear polarizer that can interfer with AF. i know someone that uses a LPL on her k100 and k10 with no problems. a CPL has never had a probblem.
