[SOLD] Pentax ist D with grip and 20mm 1.8 ...extras

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
Pentax ist D with grip and 20mm 1.8 ...extras (updated w/ photos)

Asking Price
$555

Item Description
I'm selling this as a package. About $150 below the three items individually.

The ist D is in excellent shape (by KEH standards, not Ebay standards). It comes with the BG1 grip (not pictured but included, and in same shape as camera pictured). It comes with a Delkin screen protector attached (you can remove this if you want). It comes with an Eagle Tec CF-SD card adapter that will allow ANY non-SDHC card to work in the CF slot. It comes with original Pentax CD, and book.

The Sigma 20mm 1.8 is also in excellent shape, possibly mint. No markings on glass, or body. Comes with all original accessories (hood, padded case, both caps). This is a full frame lens, not a DA lens. It's the latest DG version which means it was optimized for digital use.

Price is inclusive of shipping, paypal fees, etc. You send $555, I send you the camera, lens and everything in the listing. No haggling over $10 in Paypal fees, no worries that I'm overcharging you on shipping, etc.
Note to those who like to haggle for the feeling of victory....The price is actually $575 for you + paypal fees (i'm just kidding of course).

If the combination doesn't sell, I'd be interested in just the lens by itself.

Also noted, in terms of trade, I'd be interested in a 35mm/APS-C format 1:1 macro lens in the 35-60mm range.

Or 645 lenses and 120 film magazines.

For 645, the 120mm F/4 Macro, the 35mm f/3.5 are priorities. I'd also be interested in the 200mm f/4. Or any of the LS lenses.

daily update (i'll try to keep these interesting, rather than the heartless "bump"):

You are looking at a listing from a genuine Pentaxian, with roots in the Pentax community. This is a near mint condition setup (see non blurry large photos), from a seller with positive feedback, high quality photos of the merchandise, and a no hassle/no haggle up front best price!

The ist D is the last Pentax camera to offer TTL flash metering. It's the smallest dual wheeled Pentax ever made, it has wireless flash control, ALL menu controls are on the outside. It has a bigger focus motor than the other cameras of similar size. It shoots TIFFs at the same buffer as RAW (5 tiffs). It has a penta prism, not a penta mirror like the other small Pentax DSLR.

I'm selling because 1) despite my attempts my wife has no interest in photography even though this tiny camera would be perfect for her 2) I am upgrading to medium format 3) I now have 3 systems (4 if you count 35mm film) and I have too many cameras. Since I am not a collector, use it or sell it is my mantra!

Stay tuned, tomorrow we reveal the actuations via PhotoMe....taking over under bets!!!!

Lets set the over under at 7500...

Daily bump....

If you bet (which you didn't) that the actuations on this camera were under 7500 you would be correct!

what is the shutter count on the camera and can you post a 2 second shot with the lens cap on to show hot pixles?

Attached is the camera exif, which clearly shows frame count, as well as a photo (which the exif is from) to illustrate hot pixels, or rather lack of hot pixels! I'm sure I've cloned out 1 or 2 pixels every now and then, but looking at the image at 100% I cannot see any. This was a straight JPEG.

Due to both Photobucket and Pentax forum limitations this isn't the full size image, if anyone would like the original emailed to them, feel free to ask!

I can't say this enough, but unless you find this camera new on the shelf, I do not think you will find a better copy of it. Likewise, the lens Ebays for $500 (new)...and again, everything is in mint condition from a legit seller. I really hate ebay (they have screwed me more times than I can count costing me hundreds of dollars and hours wasted), so I'd like to sell it on here and not give ebay/paypal a combined 15%! But that Geico commercial with the pile of money looking at me just keeps running through my head when I look at the camera and lens, which I have rarely used for about 6 months for the camera, and 12 months for the lens!

Nope, no pictures of the grip it's in the same condition as the camera, google it for a photo. BG1 grip (here).
