why the A900 (i can only assume) and not the D700?

Better sensor is my guess. Sure, it's noisier but DAMN, it's a good sensor. If I could afford (and had a good reason to switch to 36x24 sensors), I'd head towards the A900 myself.

Just want to offer my sincere thanks to everyone for their kind and dignified responses! I'm off to attend a shower for my sisters new baby so the pics and some PMs will be a bit delayed in response, but I'm here.

Regards,

Kelly.

Sorry to see you go, though I understand the rational. You should have no trouble moving your excellent lenses!

Steve

(Too tight right now to make an offer...)

Kelly is a valuable member to the forum and Kelly kept all of lenses in great conditions.

Sad to see Kelly go

I was hoping there'd be a nice ultra-wide for me but unfortunately not. Good luck with the transition. It's all about photography after all and not about cameras...

It was your fault, just for the record.

(hehe)

I'm itching for more glass to populate my new system, I'll try and get back to everyone this weekend and start the disbursement a little earlier.
