I also would have bought it if the seller took PayPal... what a shame.

If you want the temptation to go away, convince me I want it. They seem so popular I contemplate buying, but in fact I've never handled a grip and literally don't know what I'm missing. I don't drain batteries fast enough to worry about that, but the ergonomics might be nice...

Well as far as the grip goes, I just took it off my k10d and I don't know how I ever used it without the grip.. just feels.. too small and weird.

Love the grip
(also second shutter is great for portait mode)

The grip is nice to have if your hands are large, if you like shooting in portrait orientation, or if you intend to hand hold heavy lenses (I find it improves balance and makes it easier to keep the camera steady). I take my grip off if I'm mounting my camera on a tripod or if I'm travelling light (the grip doesn't fit in my smallest camera bag).

I picked up a grip last month so unfortunately I'm not in the market for another one.

Does this mean you're back in Toronto enjoying the snow for a while again?

The grip is awesome. Feels a bit large at first, but within a few days you'll wonder why you didn't have one on before.

The extra battery spot is nice, the spot to put (and not lose) your remote is nice, the extra buttons for portrait mode (I use all the time), but most importantly is the feel and the balance that this gives the camera.

A must own item - IMO.
