[SOLD] SMC M 200mm f/4 lens

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
SMC M 200mm f/4 lens SOLD

Asking Price
SOLD

Item Description
Up for sale is one SMC M 200mm f/4 lens. The lens has built in hood. Filter size is 52mm. Comes with original black leather box. Comes with both front and rear lens caps. The front element got scuff marks from using compressed air for dust removal. This does not effect picture quality or functionality of the lens in any way. Otherwise the lens is in very good condition. I downgraded it to fair condition because of the front element scuff marks. I will post pictures taken by this lens last night to show that the lens is in perfect working condition.

wonderful lens

this is a wonderful lens, one of my favorites for general wildlife photography when hiking. it's sharp, and has natural colors. yes, manual focus, but with a long throw on the focus ring, you can get it sharp even wide open. a good first manual focus lens if you haven't tried one, and a good lens for walks in the country. close focus is around 4' or so - it's not a macro, but at 200m and 4' it's still 'close'.

i have to agree. mines 30years old and has never failed me.. it's well worth the $55 hands down.. it also one of the lightest 200mm i've used. the pic shows that it's in great shape.. good luck..
i like mine also with 68mm ETs. gets to about 1:3-4 macro..

Thanks

First, thanks to Kauaiguy and Roy for giving thumbs up to this lens. I completely agree that it is one great manual focus lens to have. Picture quality and compactness wise - no complain.

Second, I tried my level best to capture the mark on the front element. Its not visible with any of the pictures. Only if you physically look at it, then you will see it. And as I said before - that does not affect the pictures taken with this lens.

I am trying to sell some of my manual focus lenses for AF ones as I am doing more event photography. I will be happy to keep this 200mm for my macro work with extension tubes, if it does not sell.
