Battery grip sale pending.

Re: Body + lens:
I've checked the typical shipping cost at Canadapost.
Mainland US - it seem to be around $25
Canada - around $15
Unless actual cost exceeds drastically the above - this will be what you pay for insured shipping.

I came across some data from real users that shows that this model is able to shoot on average close to a quarter of a milion actuations without failure. So what's 22k?

A lot of people don't know this and would probably go by the 100,000 actuations guarantee.
I'm actually just guessing (if 22K scares them) that's why I said looks very well cared for (to pass up).
Usually, K10D's fly out of this forum as they become priced to $350.
Hope it gets a new home soon!

K10D reliability survey

Here is the link to survey based (at present) on 147 votes. As it shows nearly 10% failure rate, I think it tends to be frequented by those who's camreas failed.

pentax k10d | Camera Shutter Life Database

What it does show however is that most failures seem to be below 13k, and after that very little (until over 1 million)

One can read it that once your camera passes 13k without failure - it is a good sample , and is set to go on for a while. When you buy new - you just never know...
