Flash and K100 IR converted.

Flash Update. Trying to do this picture, I pull out the wide angle difusor and the white card reflector. In the pic you can see that the white card still there but trying to put it back I screwed it up and now the white card is also broken. Besides this unfortunate events the flash works perfectly. I will update the price considering this new events.

Paolo, is a pure macro adapter, you cant focus to infinite with it. It is an extremely high quality adapter and provides a tripod mount.

can the vivitar be used by itself on the camera or does it need the adaptor to work on a pentax? or is it that the adaptor allows a 1:1 and without it the ratio is different?

The vivitar and macro adapter are both K-mount so no need for mount adaptors. THe lens by itself is 1:2 and with the adapter becomes 1:1. The adapter is optimized for this lens so this is why I was referring to it as custom.

For those not familiar with this lens is the same optical formula than the legendary Tokina 90 macro (bokina) and it is actualy made by Tokina (so it is the basically the same lens). THe built quality is much much better on the vivitar. The tokina is not badly built at all, is just that the series 1 are tanks. Photodo rated the tokina with a 4.6 the same value than the A85 f1.4 and that the f50 f1.4 that I have for sale. To have a reference, the Pentax A200 f4 scored 4.2 (thought it has other advantages due to its focal length). Hope it helps

Thanks for the info Gruoso. I'm well aware of the lens, I just had never seen the Viv S1 branded macro extender. I have the Viv lens and Tokina adapter. Works fine. Good luck with your sales!

Another in line flash guy

About the 90mm Series 1

Hey, I have the M42 version of this vivi series one. And without the adaptor it is a beautiful close focus 1:2 90mm lens. And for most "macro" shots it is plenty close enough... but when you add that matched macro converter it goes 1:1 and is a stunning macro lens....

They are two of the most beautiful designs, and built like tanks... I use mine as the 90mm 1:2 for portraits and regular shooting. A great 90mm prime.

And the macro adaptor will work with your other k-mount lenses.

I just used my m42 vivi adaptor with the Industar 50 mm pancake lens in this thread
