I'm half tempted to buy just to have something that's been touched by Jay!

But these remarks about a whole new set of LBA makes me scared more than excited. What kind of monster might I become if I had both Pentax and Nikon bodies?

That said, the D80 could offer more interest as a 2nd body than my poor, neglected K10D, ifa certain someone were to be interested in trading...

Sorry, David. But - you could buy this and then sell the K10D, and end up with a brand new D80 for about $85 net outlay!

No, only have just the one battery.

Sorry about the deadly CBA/LBA combo I dropped on you. I just want you to join me in my world.

Very dangerous path you're on, Jay Nikon's a fantastic system to use, I just wish I could afford their fantastic zoom lenses.

There's no way I'm dropping $1800 for their 70-200 2.8, as good as it reportedly is.

Looks like my Nikon setup is going to be:

D90
Nikkor 50 1.8 AF-D
Nikkor 35 1.8 AF-S (pre-ordered)
Tamron 28-75 2.8 (get today)
Sigma 50-150 2.8 II HSM (ordered)

This is going to be dedicated mostly to indoor & backyard kid shooting. That whole kit will cost about as much as that one "pro" Nikon zoom.

How is it that you always have what I want...???

Jay, Jay, Jay... congrats on the new system... it really looks like a great kid shootin' package and I would love to have it.

dont forget that flash for the indoor family shots where flash is needed... I doubt you will never use the PTTL ( 'L' I missed exposure again)

David, I have many lenses that have been touch by Jay... and the Jshermagic seems to get slightly changed in the shipping process... He makes them all look like 'limiteds' and I just make them look limited...

Of course that's not true, the stuff you've done with those new lenses you just got have made me hit ebay In fact, I just won a helios 44-m for $37 just like the one I sold you, based on your shots with it.

I'm waiting for you to make me tear my hair out over that K02 Viv/Komine 28, which I'm sure will happen any day now...

But I'll keep you up to date on how the Nikon system is working for me. The D80 is what would suggest as a second (or 1st) body, but I got the D90 anyway because I.... have no excuse. CBA. Love of new gadgets.

Plus, I want to get a m42-Nikon adapter and try to make a short film using only fungal-50!
