You might want to note if its the black or silver version.

By the A range, this one is no power zoom and silver only. Very lightweigth and very sharp. The best go around for film or longish DSLR.
I used to have it with my ZX-5n. Someties I think about getting it back for K20 (I like wide too much though).
Highly recommended. And the price is right.
Good luck with a sale.

Yup, this lens is silver, small and gives surprisingly good results. Here are some links to full-sized jpgs...

These are fullsized images, saved at 90% quality jpegs. I've not done any processing to them except for the one picture that I sharpened.

I just wanted to test sharpness at the long end by seeing how clear the sign lettering is.

This next shot is wide open at the wide end (28mm). The small writing is in the corners, which will look bad with any lens.

I applied a little unsharp mask and was very surprised - everything popped nicely into focus. I suspect that it's because the lens captures above average contrast, even if it is not as sharp as you'd like out of the camera.

Some dept of field tests, this one wide open. I focused on the near rock.

Same scene with the lens totally stopped down.

With a non-complex background, the bokeh is rather nice for a zoom.

Another detail/color test - I love old wood :-)
http://www.photod.ca/misc/ForSale/FA28-105/IMGP3016.jpg

I wanted to see how it rendered colors and complex backgrounds. This is the type of scene that Sigma lenses often do really bad at. I'm pleasantly surprised by the FA.

More test for green colors - when I'm not photographing people I'm out in nature so this is important to me.

Finally, a more natural shot as opposed to a test shot. What I also tested in this scene is if you can zoom all the way out to 105mm, focus and then zoom out to recompose and take the picture (I often do this with my 16-50mm because my K20D does a very poor job of focusing on eyes at 16mm). The lens is the type of lens where this is possible.

I have one. Very good. It would be even better for a full frame.

As of right now, the lens is still available.

I took some photos of the lens itself. The first picture is lower res and shows everything that's included, front & rear caps, hood, lens (in immaculate condition) and original box. The other three pictures are full res from my K100D, cropped a bit to just show the lens itself.

Price drop, anyone need a zoom with an interesting walk-around range?

Here are some better shots of the lens itself.

Click on an image to see a full-res version of it.
