Sigma 50-500mm

Asking Price: Now on ebay Starts @ $760

Item Description

This is the Sigma EX DG 50-500mm "Bigma". It's in great shape. There are a few small wear mark in the "EX" finish (mostly on the tripod collar / handle) , and there is a bit of dust inside the lens (both shown in the photos).

The glass is flawless. All functions work perfectly, aperture clean, dry and snappy etc.

Comes with the box, paperwork, case, carrying strap, hood, front cap (generic rear cap). Also included are an 86mm UV filter (non-mc, I leave it on for protection while carrying the lens around in the bag and usually take it off for shooting), and an extra 86mm pinch cap since you can't remove or replace the stock sigma cap while the hood's on.

EDIT:
I wanted to mention what Bigma owners already know which is that although the lens is advertised as f/6.3, it will report f/6.7 on your Pentax. This is common to all Sigma 50-500s and not a fault with this copy (google it if you don't believe it

). Peter Z. reminded me of it and I thought I better mention it so it doesn't surprise anyone.

This and the next are with the Bigma on the Kenko 1.5x TC a good combo...

Also does portraits in a pinch...

and landscapes...

Your sig says you are looking for a PK/A adaptall mount, do a search as there were a few for sale for $75-$100.

Indeed, thanks! I thought I had searched before I posted the want ad and put it in my sig, but then I did a search and found one for sale... At least I got Frank to list his New In Box adapter this way

Pending sale to Canada fell through - he did the math and realized that paying the Canadian tax, etc., ruined the economics of buying used from the states.

I wanted to mention what Bigma owners already know which is that although the lens is advertised as f/6.3, it will report f/6.7 on your Pentax. This is common to all Sigma 50-500s and not a fault with this copy (google it if you don't believe it

). Peter Z. reminded me of it and I thought I better mention it so it doesn't surprise anyone.

If anyone has a high quality, high weight rating tripod ball head rated to say, 20 lbs. or more, I'd be interested in a trade (value of the ball head taken off the bigma

). Bonus points for QR plates...

As of right now, MS Cashback is at 9% for ebay, and I'm willing to put this lens up as a Buy It Now with free shipping in the US for $860, and you could get the lens shipped for $783 (after your rebate from MS). Don't know how long cashback will stick around this time???
