[SOLD] 70% of my stuff (50-135, 12-24, 43ltd, fa 35, Nokton, Cosina 55 1.2, more)

.

The last of the required documents has arrived, and the full frontal assault of
the Tax season has hit home. This, and some unexpected medical bills has
forced me to choose between a large savings hit - or to sacrifice some glass.
A lot of good glass.

I've acquired most of this collection over about 18 months - after a little while I
may start building it up again.

As usual, I need to bite the bullet and do this fast before I can change my mind.

I'm canceling the order on some new Nikon stuff, and letting the following
Pentax stuff go.

Note that I know the market value of all these lenses quite well, and they are
priced, in every case, a bit below current market for the generally excellent
shape they're in - in some cases, a lot below. So get your dibs in!

Other:
---------
Tamron 2x Pz-AF BBAR MC7 TC SOLD
Genuine Pentax m42 adapter: , or less if bought
with an m42 lens SOLD

Descriptions of each:

DA* 50-135 f/2.8: Optically perfect, the sharpest zoom I've ever personally used.
It has a slight scratch on the barrel and hood where I scraped it against some
cement while setting it on a bench, but it's cosmetic only. Comes with caps,
hood, pouch case, box.

DA 12-24 f/4: Pentax color and sharpness, the best WA zoom for Pentax, a
classic. Perfect cosmetically and optically. My 2nd favorite Pentax zoom. Comes
with caps, hood, box.

FA 43 f/1.9 Limited: Indistinguishable from new (a couple months old.) Possibly
the best limited optically, small, so very sharp and colorful. Comes with
caps/hood, pouch, box.

FA 35 f/2: Like new. Small, one of Pentax's sharpest and fastest-focusing
primes. They are probably going to be discontinued, get yours at a fire-sale
price. Caps, hood, pouch case, box.

Voigtlander Nokton 58 f/1.4: Like new. The
bokeh this thing delivers is from another universe - and the sharpest at f/1.8 of
probably any lens I've shot. Comes with caps and box.

Cosina 55 f/1.2: Like new. At f/2, as sharp as the Nokton, and at f/1.2, has OOF
effects unlike anything I've used. These are getting hard to find now.

Vivitar 100 f/2.8: This is the Kiron-built lens - same as the 105 2.5, marketed
and sold before the Series-1 designation. Optically equivalent. Eric has fixed a
sticky diaphram and cleaned the optics in the process - here's a $450 Series-1
1:1 macro for $160!

M 100 2.8: Possibly the sharpest M, this one should need no introduction.
Asking so little because it has a dented filter ring - can still take a hood, but it
doesn't thread all the way on easily. Otherwise, cosmetically and optically
excellent.

K 35 f/3.5: Some people say this is the sharpest K, I've only owned two, so I
can't say for sure The color this thing produces astounds me. Build quality
and focus action is Tak-like.

K 55 1.8: The bokeh is wonderful, the rendering is special, build is top-notch.
Both this and the K 35 are cosmetically almost mint.

Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 Close Focus (K11): Hard to let this go, as I just got it -
the sharpest 28mm I've ever used, and can get within a few inches of subject.
This is Komine-built, ala Series-1. IQ/price ratio on this is through the roof.

Sears 135 f/2.8: What can I say, check out the Sears Club thread for what this
baby can do. Continually flies under the radar because of the "Sears" name, but
built optically to compete with anything in it's class or a class above.

S-M-C Takumar 105 2.8: Highly, highly coveted, went for $170+ when the market
was normal. Optically perfect, cosmetically beautiful. One of the sharpest Taks
you can buy. See the Takumar club thread to see some pro-level work Mike Cash
has done with this optic.

SMC Takumar 55 f/1.8: The classic sharpie with the Dr Suess bokeh! Build quality
and focus make you fall in love.

SMC Takumar 55 f/2: Mulitcoated, same optically as the 55 1.8, a portrait lens of
incredible quality for pocket change.

SMC Takumar 50 f/1.4: This would go for much more, but there's a filter ring
scrape - hood still screws on, just with friction. This renders OOF areas like
cream and is so center-sharp at f/1.4 that you think you're wearing 3-D glasses.

S-M-C Takumar 50 1.4: Pentax's best MF lens, according to Mike Johnston. See
the Tak club thread, should need no introduction. Optically perfect, very, very
slight brassing on the barrel, shiny/new-like otherwise. A joy to focus and use.

Helios 44-M-4 58 f/2: Biotar design, Russian M42 that stuns with it's performance.
See Gus (igilligan's) work with this lens.

Vivitar 28 f/2.5 WA m42 (M06): This is a Kiron-built sharpshooter with great
sharpness and close-focus ability. Big front element brings in the color.
Optically and cosmetically, almost new.

Kamero 135 f/2.8
Kamero 35 f/2.8: Selling as a set for $35, because I almost have never even
used these - they came in a lot from ebay, and stayed on the old bodies until
I dug them up a couple weeks ago. Cosmetically and optically very good, and
the snaps I have taken have surprised me with the OOF rendering and s
sharpness - these two hit out of their $ league, problem is, no-one knows what
exact league they belong in. Treat yourself to a little m42 prime LBA!

Tamron 2x Pz-AF BBAR MC7 TC $50: I think I've priced this right, but might
have underpriced. Works great, allows AF on all lenses except SDM. Like new.
Double your focal length without a big drop in IQ - see the Teleconverter pics
threadnfor what this thing can do.

There you have it - shipping will be extra, actual shipping charges, minimal if it's
a small item in the US.

I'll be posting shots of the items later, rest assured they're as described. I'll
also post some links to shots taken with each - since there are so many items
for sale here, I'll probably post a minimum of images in this actual thread and
will link instead.

Holy moly. Those AF lenses will go fast! I sure wish I was in the market to buy a 12-24 or a 50-135 right now! Good luck!

Those are great prices--I would have thought the jshermagic imbued in each one would've cost extra

Good luck with everything Jay!

PM sent for the VL

Never good to have to let glass go... especially such good ones... but the up side is you can always get them back.

Hope it all turns around for you soon.

Cheers
