[SOLD] Albinar 2X Macro Converter plus Pentax-M 50mm f1.7 Combination

Albinar and 50mm pentax lens.
I am asking $US 70.00 for the combination and would prefer to sell

them as a unit. If I must separate them, then I will only sell the 50mm

lens after the Albinar sells. If sold separately, then the Albinar goes

for $US35 and the 50mm for $US35.00

An Albinar 2X macro adapter complete with a Pentax-m 50mm f1.7 lens.

When used as a macro, this combination creates a 100mm f3.4 (approx)

macro lens. This is a flexible combination that provides both a good

1:1 manual macro and an excellent low light manual portrait lens. When

the two lenses are combined, the resultant lens is optically designed

for close up macro photography and will provide you with a 1:1 100mm

macro lens that has over 90% of the performance of a dedicated macro

lens. I purchased this combination to explore macro photography. I am

selling as I have now purchased a dedicated macro lens.
To Use
Set the f stop with the 50mm lens and then multiply by 2 to get the

approximate combined f stop. Set the 50mm lens focus at its closest

focus (for 1:1) and then change the larger focus ring on the Albinar to

get desired final focus when viewed through the camera viewfinder.

The Lenses
The Pentax 50mm lens is highly respected in its own right as it is

sharp, fast and has excellent IQ. The lens is an excellent low light,

portrait lens and can be mounted to all pentax digital cameras. The

Albinar adapter appears to be similar to the well respected vivitar

equivalent lens and can be mounted to any K mount lens and will provide

greater than 1:1 macro when used with a lens less than 50mm and less

than 1:1 when mounted with a lens greater than 50mm.

Both the Albinar and the 50mm lens are clear with no fungus.

However, in the 50mm lens there appears to be a tiny chip right on the

edge of one of the front internal elements of the 50mm lens, however,

this does not show up in any images and is not visible on digital

sensors. I am unable to get an image of this defect. There are

small dust particles in the 50mm lens. The aperture blades close down

quickly and the mating connector from the Albinar to the k mount lens is

positive and works well in manual mode. The combined lens comes with a

single front lens cap and a rear lens cap. There are no separate front

and rear caps for the Albinar lens.
Method of Payment
North America - US and Canada for $US 15.00
