[SOLD] Soviet Tair-11A 135mm/2.8 Screw Mount M42 ( 20 Aperture Blades! )

I've trying to lighten my load quite a bit to make room for a nice tele prime (maybe F300/4.5...suggestions are welcome), and this lens is up for adoption!...of course adoption isn't free, but it never is

Screw Mount (M42) -- will require a M42 to Pentax K mount adapter.

This lens is quite interesting. Definitely has a unique look to it. Sort of reminds me of a tank actually. It is the old preset-aperture type, where you set the min aperture with one ring and then can freely control the actual aperture with the other ring. As you can see in the photos, this baby has 20 aperture blades...count 'em! Creates Really nice bokeh no matter what aperture you shoot at. Also has a pull-out hood. It stays out but could use a little more friction to help it.

Condition wise it is good, but not exceptional. There is some edge wear on the focusing barrel and aperture control rings. It still focuses smoothly and the aperture works (of course, it's hard for the aperture not to work on these old presets). Judging by some of the screws it looks like this lens has been serviced or disassembled at some point. But I have used it on several occasions and it produces great photos, so I'm pretty sure there are no problems with it.

The glass is very clear and clean, maybe a couple specs of dust but nothing that will affect your images.

I have a front cap for it, but no rear cap. I'll throw in a soligor screwmount 2x TC as well. I also have the original case for it (in decent shape) that I will include as well.

I don't see too many of these, but from a quick search it looks like nice copies go on *bay for ~$90 or ~$100, so I'll give this one modest pricing.

$60 plus shipping ($10 in the US...I'll use a flat rate box for this one).

Those are some amazing aperture blades, I must say!
