I'm not sitting on the fence, but I don't feel it would be ethical to offer a trade for a lens I don't yet have in hand to inspect and verify. Or I would. :-)

I love street photography too, especially street peoples. Pity I haven't used this lens for much street shooting yet, but here is one w/ a same lens I took when my kids and I walked by a stage performance in a shopping mall:

I think the best for this lens is the mega zoom range.

Here is one at 18mm:

Same position, zoomed to 250mm:

And the lens is pretty sharp even at 250mm end. Here is 100% crop of the above one:

It's pretty good for closeups too:

Yeah, still have the lens. I don't know about the warranty thing. Got the International warranty card, but I don't have the original receipt anymore. Don't know if you can register it for warranty though ...
