Bought used locally since last october, comes with front and rear caps and lens hood. No box. Perfect glass and excellent cosmetic condition. Selling because I just purchased a 5D mark II and need the money for Canon lenses.

Fellow Canadians, please don't PM me about your ebay prices, this lens is selling for around $1200CAD before tax in your local retail camera stores since the Pentax price hike last month. Good investment as used prices should only go up in the future.

Wow that is 55 dollars less than what I bought mine for. But at least I get with a 2 year warrenty, mint condition, box and all the trimmings.

With the price you are asking wow how can anyone refuse such an awsome offer.

friendly bump

A friendly bump....

This is one great lens. I have one, so I know. I am thinking about selling it....well undecided at this point

But I have no doubt about the good quality of this lens. Love the pics that come out of it.

And yes, we should start a ridicule thread for low ballers

It hurts so much not to get this... After my crazy LBA the last few months, I've declared myself done and I basically am, but this is the one lens left that still haunts me. I *know* I would use this lens. But no, I'm out. I'm frackin' out.

Someone else please buy it, and enjoy!

Yeah, I feel exactly the same way.

This and the DA70 are all I really want for Christmas this year.

Almost got one last week. BTW, price in Edmonton is 750.00 CAD not 1200.00 yet.
Your price is quite reasonable.

I want one too, but I just bought the 50-135mm, it was between that and the 12-24, and the price hike post made me jump on the one that was available in the forum.

I love my DA*, but I know I need this one too =( It's too soon, however, to pull that trigger again. I'm sure someone else will justify it and snatch this up though!

Have you seen the retail prices in canada???? I'd buy locally used before importing new from the US,at least i can test the lens first.

Yeah, what's going on with Pentax's Canadian prices? It's shot up like 100-200%!? The only thing this price hike will bode well for is the resale market, but that pretty much screws Pentax's earnings from new lens sales. I dont' know what their strategy is on that one .

Thanks for all the friendly bumps. This was my favourite lens for a long time before I got my FA 35mm F/2 (thats my fav now). It is simply a joy to use, and the build quality almost puts Canon L glass to shame.

I've got a local buyer pending. Will update tomorrow.
