[SOLD] FS: Pentax SMC FA 24-90/3.5-4.5 AL [IF]

This lens has been sold!

Selling a near mint condition Pentax FA 24-90/3.5-4.5 AL [IF] lens. Bought the lens to compare with a Sigma DC 17-70 lens which I also bought a couple of months back. Decide to keep the Sigma due to its wider end. There is very minimal mark of use on the barrel, but the glass crystal is very clean, no hazes, scratches or fungus. The zoom ring turns smoothly, abit loose, but that's the way the lens was designed and built (for faster AF?). The aperture ring shifts well in position. Aperture blades are clean like new and free of oil.

This lens is considered as one of the best wide zoom lenses Pentax (or any other manufacturer) ever made. It features Aspherical Elements (AL) and Internal Focusing (IF), and of course it has the latest Pentax ghostless coating as well. It's rather fast and sharp, distortion and flare control are great too. The lens is also quite small, light and compact as a wide zoom lens. A great walk-around lens. Works great on Pentax latest DSLR *istD/Ds/DL/K100D/K110D/K10D) too.

You can find some reviews about this lens here at Stan's website:

Any idea of postage to Spain and would there be any unforseen costs incurred?

I just want to add I have one of these and it's a great lens. It's better than the 28-105 a lot of people like. That 24mm bottom end makes a big difference. For those who also have the DA16-45, it makes a great travel combo. They even use the same filter size.

Yes, it's a great lens. I've compared this it w/ a FA28-105/3.2-4.5, and a Sigma 17-70, this 24-90 performs better than both lenses at same focal length. I use prime lenses mostly, so this one is kinda impulse purchase actaully ...

Anyway, the lens is on the way to a new owner now
