Hello all! This is a fairly rare and very fast Pentax SMC 50mm f/1.2 lens. It's in generally excellent condition except for two notable marks: 1) The front bezel has scratches on it from being opened by an inexperienced technician (not me, I swear!). No effect on anything whatsoever. 2) The front glass has a very thin but long scratch across it. Also no effect on any of the pictures taken with it, and barely noticeable in the picture or in real life. Also there appears to be a very minute bit of fungus appearing along the edge of the lens. I can get it cleaned for about $30 if the buyer would like. It's very small and I doubt it will get worse. But, for these reasons, it is being offered for about $100 less than the average market price of one in better cosmetic, but equal functional condition.





Being a K-mount, you don't have to view the lens stopped-down through the viewfinder, so you'll always be composing your pictures at f/1.2 which is far better than other kinds of manual lenses.

I personally think the pictures speak for themselves, but if you have any questions please ask. Other than the two aforementioned detractors, there are no problems with the lens whatsoever. It takes beautiful pictures. I'm included the lens, a rear cap, and a Hoya HMC 52mm skylight filter with this purchase.

Not to be too picky, but this is a SMC Pentax lens, not a SMC Pentax-M lens, correct? I don't think the M-series had a 1.2.

Yeah, just remove the '-M' or say 'Pentax K 50mm 1.2' since it's one of the original 'K' lenses.

Bumping this piece of glass. If it helps prospective buyers, the pictures that come out of this lens are still obviously fantastic, and it's always much easier to clean a prime lens than a zoom.
