PM sent

Have you enjoyed sharpness in the 24mm? It looks like excellent condition. Is it still available?

I would say that both of these have decent sharpness although my Komine 28mm f/2 would win out in that competition but it is not for sale. There are many folks on this board who can chime in on the qualities of these vs other Vivitar wide angles.

I own a 28mm f2.8 in m42 and love it. Shoots beautifully in film and digital.

Here are two examples of the same subject close up this morning. Unfortunately it is cloudy so high iso and slow shutter probably don't help these two images. I moved into minimum focus distance on both shots. The first is the 17mm and the second is the 24mm. The exif from the first will say 18mm because that is the closest option on the K10D for shake reduction. I did bump the contrast a little on each but no sharpening was done.

Chalion I think your 28mm could use a 17mm stable mate!

Hi,

St. Louis, MO here as well. Do you still have the 17mm lens? Is price firm?

I have a K200D, I know this is a manual lens but can you pair with an adapter to make it semi-automatic?

Look forward to your response

I have a bid on a lens on Ebay which ends tomorrow. If I don't win it (who knows...) I am very interested in the 17mm.

I'm not sure if this is the best way to contact you or not.

Thank you,

Stanley K.

Lots of question but no takers yet. If nobody wants them by tonight they are off to ebay.
