[SOLD] Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 and Pentax DA 50-200mm f4-5.6 lenses

Both lenses are sold.

I am selling my Tamron 28-75 and my Pentax DA 50-200 in order to fund the purchase of a DA* 50-135 (which should be arriving in the mail today ).

I purchased the Tamron new in August 2008 and it has certainly lived up to its reputation for me. Fairly sharp at f2.8 and fabulous from f3.2 onward. I take good care of my stuff and the lens is in excellent condition. You would be hard-pressed to tell it from New.

And a sample picture:

Macro sample, taken about 14" from subject:

I am asking $325 US for the lens, plus $10 shipping to CONUS.

I purchased the DA 50-200 new in June 2007. It, too, is in excellent condition and includes all original packaging, caps, hood, etc. I have a Hoya 52mm UV filter to fit this lens which I will also include with the sale. Pictures:

And a sample from the lens:

I'm asking $125 US shipped to CONUS.

If you happen to be interested in both lenses, I'm sure we can work out a package price.

Payment will be via PayPal.

Thanks for your interest!

Absolutely! If I weren't such a wide-freak, it'd probably be the only non-tele lens I own. Without a doubt the best quality available by any manufacturer in that range and at that price.

I really want to try this lens but I have sigma 18-50/2.8 and Pentax 16-50mm/2.8 which are both very good lenses. So no complaints just got a little LBA due to the good price and reputation of this lens.

Yes, I will miss this lens, but I have also missed the range below 28mm, so I picked up a used DA 16-45, and treated myself to the 50-135 to go with it. That's my photography buget for 2009! I have to wait until next year before I can buy anything else.

Did the Tamron sell? How is the 75mm macro ability?

I know from personal experience that the macro range at 75mm is very low, close to if not in 1:3 territory. It replaced my need for a dedicated macro lens 90% of the time when I had mine.

Thanks, wallyb. Yes, I have found it adequate for most of my macro stuff (which, admittedly, is not much). I am scrurrying around a bit today, but I will try to find a minute to snap and post a macro shot from the Tamron.

The member who originally showed interest in the Tamron has bowed out, so both lenses are still available.

Monday bump. Tamron has sold but the DA 50-200 is still available. Price lowered to $125 including shipping to CONUS.
